Joyful Learning

Children learn better and quicker when they enjoy the process. When it's fun and enjoyable, children learn without even realizing the stress of learning. They remain self motivated when they face appropriate challenges in their process of learning.

Self Learning

Self learning is the only method which creates a drive for learning.
Gram-Mangal has developed a system of self learning with the help of scientifically developed educational aids. These aids are nothing but handy materials with which the children are encouraged to play. The aids are prepared using locally available raw material, and they are made by trained primary teachers. Examples of 600 such aids can now be seen at a permanent exhibition at Aine tribal village. These aids are also used for training new teachers. Training to teachers based on the effective use of these aids is Gram-Mangal's strength.

Scientific and Project-Based education

Children are constantly encouraged to explore and experience. They are trained to systematically make observations, and then apply knowledge and scientific thinking to draw conclusions that are based on their own experiences. Unlike traditional methods where different topics are taught independently of each other, our project method takes in-depth dive into a subject, and connects it to everything else around it. For instance, the topic - water; here the subject language, science, history, geography, environmental implications are all looked into in-depth, depending on the age group of the children handling the project. Children collectively work on the various aspects of the topic, and produce a report at the end. In addition to learning how to integrate the information they have gathered, they also learn presentation skills.
